Petals

Plucked in an act of whimsy
From a meadow full of stars
Red tipped white ray florets
Placed in open glass jars

Plucked in an act of whimsy
A petal, then a petal in turn
She loves me, she loves me not
What will you come to learn

Plucked in an act of whimsy
Chains will begin to form
Only to become fading garlands
Colours swept away with a storm.

Promise

With
Each sunset
A promise
To myself
That
Tomorrow
I will not
Think
Of you

With
Each sunrise
I learn
Self promises
Of yesterday
Never
Hold true.

Promise

With
Each sunset
A promise
To myself
Tomorrow
I will not
Think
Of you

With
Each sunrise
I know
The promise
Of yesterday
Will never
Hold true.

With…

With each fall and with each rise, she catches the eye of passers by.

Nothings

From profound darkness and nothingness, the most beautiful of nothings emerge.

Lines

Half drawn blinds
And a midday sun
Shadows drawing lines
Across creased sheets
Settling rays of warmth
Layers needed
Now only one

Limbs no longer longing
Love along with desire
Has been
Come and gone
Leaving creased sheets
Half drawn blinds
And a midday sun.

Inspired by a tiny lens and peaches

Blossom

Flowers of all the tomorrows
In the unfurling buds of today
Emerging from winter sorrows
Silent reminders no time will stay

Reaching up to the heavens
Skies filling with pink blossom spray
Stirring the breeze to carry it away
Silent reminders no time will stay
