Fifteen Seconds

Fifteen seconds

that’s all that was asked,

back against the wall

knowing yours the stillness

that will not last.

They are waiting,

here I am waiting.
I see the unseen

and the seen

you’ve been told,

little the house dwelling

on a big hill sold.

No mountain

yet silver vapour mantle

lightly floats,

circling doves murmur

soft the gentle notes.

You were moving,

Away you’re moving.
Looking into dreams

as a shadow steals an hour,

months as years stolen

from the night of power.

Fifteen seconds

that’s all that was asked,

back against the wall

knowing yours the stillness

that will not last.
