Whilst they grasp at Summer,

one by one we let the seasons go.

Seeing deeper

into a

mellowing glance.

A hushed,

tint of slumber

falls on a path

crossed by chance.

Hands no longer still,

moving to break the stillness.

Empty space they fill.

Give me dark, dark woods;

hiding valleys deep, mountains steep.

For the flowers at my door.

There is…

There is strength

in legs trembling,

from miles walked

on miles.

They can conquer;

those bones weary,

from trials worn

on trials.

Warmth did touch the ears

from gentle blowing of sighs.

Sleep did not touch eyes.

Stare into darkness,

or look beyond glass to the

light from the soundless.
