Tear away feet,

ground beneath.

The emptiness behind,

sun’s shoulders

within reach.

Held

Sun sets on a

promisesless day,

held in hand

the fulfilled promise

of a stay.

I know of miracles past, now I see them in the present.

Western horizon,

blush on heaven cheeks.

Eastern darkness,

samurai spirit

in torn up sheets.

Candy

Candy clouds

of a sunset sky

now gathered

far away.

Gazing up at a

full autumn moon,

coming to the

end of thoughts

is when I asked

you to stay.

No words for the thoughts, not for saying.

Long after sunset,

on faint stirring of footsteps,

weary eyelids rise.
