Eyes hold unfilled hours,

heavy dreams without sleep.

A heart unguarded.

Dry is the dreaming,

from me too far you’re sleeping.

The touch too fleeting.

Close Enough

Give me your word

and I’ll return to you three,

not one holds pity.

Why the languid steps,

when arms are lifted like wings

using chains for strings.

Winter looks to Spring;

darkness changing noon to night,

stretches out to light.

Let the light rain fall,

why turn it into black ice

with breath blowing cold.

Catch stitch on cross-weave,

stitch thread runs invisible.

Muslin fold to fold.
